Hello and welcome to my website!

 

I’m Julie Thevenot, a Mobile & Web Game Designer with over 4 years of professional experience in the video game industry. My journey into game design started in 2017 during my Bachelor’s degree in Game Design, and I’ve been creating games ever since.

 

I first worked for over two years as a Level Designer at 8SEC Studio, where I progressed from Junior to Mid Level Designer while designing and balancing levels for hyper-casual and hybrid-casual mobile games. My role also included QA, data analysis, A/B testing, playtesting and fast iterations, helping me better understand player behavior, engagement and retention.

 

After that, I co-founded Mao Games, a remote mobile and web game studio, where I worked across the full production cycle of casual games, from ideation and prototyping to publishing and post-release iterations. I also collaborated with publishers such as Hitapps, Voodoo, Homa, CrazyGames and GameDistribution.

 

I enjoy designing clear, satisfying and replayable game experiences, with the right balance of rhythm, challenge, feedback and small details that keep players engaged.
