Garden War
OVERVIEW
Garden War is a multiplayer Party Game you can play on PC, made in 3 weeks and with a team of 6 (4 game designers & 3 game artists).
It's a 2 VS 2 game where you and your partner have to fight against the other dwarf and flamingo to show who has the best garden by collecting 10 clovers before them.
If you play the dwarf you can aim and shoot water on the other team which will stun them for a couple of seconds but you cannot move when you're sitting on the flamingo's back. If you play the flamingo you can move around and dash to avoid the other team's water shots and get the clovers as fast as you can.

MY ROLES
-
Project Leader

I got the lead of the project and had to make sure everything would go well for the game, for everyone in the team, and that we could do all our tasks on time. It was a really tough project to lead because we had issues with a couple of teammates but we managed to get through it and worked hard enough to finish the game on time, with all the features we wanted.

-
Level Designer

I designed the arena, at first on draw.io for a 2D draft and then in 3D block out on UE4. (You can see the documents and how I designed the arena at the end of this page, in the "Documents" section).

-
Sound Designer

I also worked on finding all the music and sounds for the game and I integrated them in UE4.
SOFTWARE I USED

The engine used to develop the game

Used to Level Design the arena in 2D

Used to share files and documents with the team

Used to keep track of the whole team's tasks and keep an eye on the time/deadline during the production
DOCUMENTS

Level Design draft I made on draw.io

Level Design on Unreal Engine 4 (replaced by the 3D props already)
The Level Design for Garden War was thought to be symetrical for both teams to be equals in the level. What will make a difference is the skill from all players to shoot or dodge bullets and get as fast as possible to the clover. The clovers spawn randomly at the same spot for both teams (symetrically).
